A lot of time and energy goes into creating a comic book.
Below are the bios of some of our talented creators.

.

Len Mihalovich:

Len Mihalovich created the Section 12 universe in 1992, beginning a decades-long commitment to independent comics storytelling. His work first appeared as a featured story in Dilemma Presents by Dilemma Productions, launching a publishing journey that continues to evolve more than thirty years later.

As founder of Lenovations Press, Len serves as writer, publisher, and creative director, overseeing a growing line of interconnected titles. Known for blending classic comic sensibilities with modern digital production, he expanded his role beyond writing to include lettering, coloring, and hands-on publishing, maintaining full creative control of his work.

Len also produces the Indie Comics Deep Dive with Mona and Sam podcast, further expanding the Lenovations Press universe through multimedia storytelling and behind-the-scenes commentary.

A major milestone in the evolution of Section 12 came with the release of his novel, Section 12: Awakenings. The book explores the moments that happen between the comic panels, deepening character motivations, expanding internal conflicts, and revealing the unseen emotional weight behind the action.

Len continues to build the Section 12 universe across formats, blending superhero adventure, long-form narrative, and creator-driven independence into a cohesive and evolving body of work.

Phil Miller:

Phil Miller is the defining visual force behind Lenovations Press. As the primary artist on many of its flagship titles, Phil has shaped the look, tone, and personality of the majority of the Lenovations Press universe. His character designs and storytelling style have helped establish the visual identity of Section 12 and beyond.

A finalist for the prestigious National Cartoonists Society Award, Phil brings both classic comic sensibility and modern polish to every page. His work balances dynamic action, expressive character acting, and clean, confident storytelling.

Whether reimagining Golden Age heroes or bringing new creations to life, Phil's artwork has become synonymous with the Lenovations Press brand.

Kevin Phillips:

After graduating from the University of Houston, Kevin entered Houston's advertising industry, where he worked in traditional cel animation, creating program art for First Aid and sales force training. He later produced product and how-to illustrations for advertising agencies, with much of his work focused on television commercial storyboards for oil company retailers, a uniquely Houston experience. When that market contracted, Kevin transitioned into freelance illustration, finally pursuing his long-held dream of working in comic books.

Kevin's artistic influences include Rudy Nebres, Mike Deodato, David Finch, and, of course, the immortal Jack Kirby.

Aleksandar "Ske" Bozic:

Aleksandar Bozic is a Serbian comics artist and illustrator whose expressive linework and distinctive color sense enhance storytelling across a wide range of genres. His work blends atmosphere, strong character acting, and dynamic composition, giving each project a clear visual identity.

As part of the Lenovations Press creative team, Aleksandar has brought a unique visual presence to The Wild West Adventures of Buffalo Bill, shaping the tone and mood of the series through both his linework and color work. His ability to draw and color his own pages allows for a cohesive artistic vision that strengthens the expanding Lenovations Press universe.

Beyond Lenovations Press, Aleksandar's portfolio includes published and independent projects such as Evermore, The Deepening, The Cordelia Swift Adventures, and Slave 4: The Houses, along with other creative illustration work spanning various genres and styles.

His work has appeared on series including Xena: Warrior Princess, Charlie's Angels, Zorro: Galleon of the Dead, Pink Puma and Red Rooster, and Exciting Comics, demonstrating versatility across action, adventure, and pulp-inspired storytelling.

As a key member of the Lenovations Press creative team, Periya has colored nearly every title the imprint publishes, giving the expanding universe a cohesive visual identity. His unique approach to hue, lighting, and tonal balance helps unify diverse artistic styles while elevating both high-action sequences and character-driven moments.

Dana Black:

Dana Black is a veteran comics creator whose career spans back to the 1990s, including early professional work with Dark Horse Comics and long-running contributions to Blue Moon Comics. As both a writer and artist, Dana has developed original characters and stories across independent titles, bringing decades of experience and a deep love of the medium to every project.

As a valued part of the Lenovations Press creative team, Dana's artwork adds a distinctive visual voice to the expanding universe. His contributions enhance the tone and personality of each release, reinforcing the storytelling with imagery that reflects both classic comic traditions and creator-driven independence.

Since 2014, he has collaborated on nearly 30 independent comics with writers from around the world, including creators in Russia, Sweden, the Netherlands, the United States, India, and other parts of Asia.

As a valued recurring collaborator with Lenovations Press, Rully has illustrated Section 12 (Declassified) as well as Fantastic FanBoys Adventures.
